Adobe: Flex in a Week video training

Flex, AIR, Adobe September 7th, 2008

Adobe is creating a “Learn Flex In A Week” series of videos.   They have completed up to day 3.     Since there are 10+ videos a day, you wouldn’t be able to crank out an entire “day” of video in your spare time at work.

I’m certain the biggest factor that led to my choice of PHP as my primary development language is the amazing amount of documentation and easy to use support info on php.net.  This is a smart move for Adobe.    Claiming more of the developer market share will increase Adobe’s (already huge) foothold as  the source for the tools and services needed to build the web.

3D AIR Browser

AIR, Adobe, Papervision3D November 18th, 2007

If you want a new surfing experience, download AIR and this experiment, a 3D browser running on AIR and papervision3d:

Dowload app

While the browser is not very useful, the experience is unique, especially typing backwards. As far as I can tell, there’s no address bar, you’ll have to use a search engine to link to other sites.
